Here is a half scale replica of the SpaceX Starship ceramic heat shield tile. This is a composite of thermochromatic PLA over ABS. Color change starts around 30C / 86F and the gradient runs from dark gray through red to yellow/lime. Place a hot drink on the tile to simulate heating from atmospheric entry.

I didn't know I needed this!

My son and I love these, just recieved the coasters (set of 4) and they are even better printed quality that I expected. The textured finish on the top of the coaster is really nice. The color change sometimes stays for longer than I expected but I discovered I could just put it in the freezer for a few seconds to reset it to the starting dark gray color.
